Slice of Life_12x24_72dpi

This "Slice of Life" image is part of a series that I have created based on the northern woods that surround my home in northern Michigan.  I enjoy taking a somewhat bland or 'traditional' tree trunk and creating a design full of colors and patterns  that enliven the 'typical' forest area.  I totally enjoy using colors in this expressionistic way and love the contrasts created by placing dark by light, or complementary colors closely together.  It is also a joy to break up the  traditional background areas with varying colors.   This acrylic painting is for sale within my ETSY store site:  www.etsy.com/shop/joanncullipART.    Please note that the word ART is all in caps.  You may also contact me through this website should you prefer to do so.  The painting is available in a top quality giclee print; it is printed onto canvass and truly recreates the original painting.
