"Sunset Thru the Woods" is an acrylic painting  that truly 'lights up' a room.  The sunsets that I view off of Higgins Lake in northern Michigan often contain shockingly bright colors that may range from lavenders to intense pinks and deep reds. I wanted to portray the variety of sunset colors that I see within the backdrop of the wooded trees that surround this lake and other woods all around my lake.  This was created as a part of the painted woods series that was inspired by my painted wooden paddle.  The original acrylic painting and archival quality GICLEE on canvas reproductions of the painting are available through my ETSY SHOP:  JoannCullipART.   (https://www.etsy.com/shop/joanncullipART).   The acrylic painted original is also for sale in the Main Branch Art Gallery in Grayling, MI.    I hope that the colors found within the acrylic image provide a deep sense of excitement and joy that I always experience as I watch sunsets evolve and expose across the skies in northern Michigan.
