This watercolor painting was created 'very close' to my hope; I live within a short walk to the Cut River which is the only river that comes out of Higgins Lake and feeds water to other sites further south of my home lake. It is a view of the river-focusing on the far river bank and reflection created by the plant life on that shoreline. It is a lovely small river-with many twists and turns-but lots of interesting wildlife can be seen from the banks and water. I used more 'traditional' colors in this painting but still did use some more nonobjective colors than were visible. The original painting as well as giclee images that very much recreate the colors and details of the original can be purchased.
