This watercolor image is of a amazing area that borders the southern shore of Lake Superior in Munising, Michigan. The Pictured Rocks area covers an expansive length; one can take a boat ride that lasts 4 hours long to view the stunning cliff formations that face the great lake. The rocks contain an amazing group of colors (rich rusts/turquoises/beiges, browns, etc) and have areas with both vertical and horizontal bands of color. I have created a series of images of the many photos that I took on several visits to this natural masterpiece.
