This watercolor painting is part of a series focused on the majesty and beauty of live oak trees found in South Carolina.  After several visits to the most renown  live oak-the Angel Oak on Johns Island-I have enjoyed portraying parts of the live oaks using colors that are expressive rather than realistic.     I totally enjoy the time spent on creating the tree bark and background foliage using a variety of colors and line work.   The painting is for sale on my ETSY store as both a giclee image as well as for the original painting.  My ETSY  store website is found at:  www.etsy.com/shop/joanncullipART.   Please note that the word art is all in caps.   You may also write me using this website if you prefer directly contacting me through email.   The painting is now on display and for sale at the Main Branch Art Gallery, in Grayling, MI.  (989-344-0030)
